Frequently asked questions

Which auction sites are covered?
LotAlert scans major online auction platforms operating across the US and Canada, including sites powered by HiBid and BidWrangler. You pick the country and state or province (or scan everything) when you set up each alert.
How often are new lots checked?
Our scanner runs automatically throughout the day, so new listings usually surface within a few hours of being posted. Paid plans can also trigger a manual scan from the dashboard anytime.
What's the difference between quick alerts and the daily digest?
Quick alerts send an email the moment a match is found — great for hot items, but can be a lot of email if you have many searches. The daily digest bundles everything into one email at the time of day you choose.
How specific should my keywords be?
Specific enough to filter noise, general enough to catch variations. 'Rolex' will match almost anything with Rolex in the title; 'Rolex Datejust' is usually the sweet spot. Remember, we match auction lot titles, not the full description.
Can I set a maximum price?
Yes. Each alert has an optional max price filter, so listings above your ceiling never hit your inbox.
Do you hide expired or removed lots?
Yes. Auctions that have ended are automatically hidden, and we run a nightly verifier that removes lots the auction house has taken down.
Can I cancel or change plans anytime?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your account at any time. No contracts, no cancellation fees.
Do you place bids for me?
No. LotAlert is a discovery tool — we tell you when a lot appears and link you straight to the auction listing. All bidding happens on the auction site itself.
Is LotAlert affiliated with any auction platform?
No. LotAlert is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any auction platform or auction house.
